Let's be honest with our art, our inspiration, and ourselves. Love hurts, it kills, it's beautiful. I've said it before, the best creations have been inspired by love. Sometimes it's that new feeling, butterflies, the way she/he makes you feel, the first glimpse of love can give the sappy artists a perfect muse. Unfortunately, lost love can also prove to stir up the creative juices inside our suffering souls.
We should embrace emotion and reflect it into our arts. After all, (embrace yourself for a corny pun) you can't spell hearts without arts. When you have a creative block, try and think back on those emotions and allow it to take you over - but try not to get depressed - because even losing love can be a joyous learning experience for you. It's better to dwell on the good memories, unless your like me and you like a bit of dark art *smiles*.
When Adele created "Someone Like You" I deeply believe she didn't mean the words, "Never mind, I'll find someone like you" because a person that stirred such creativity within her could never be truly forgotten. This song strikes cords deeply rooted into my heart, its simply amazing. If you haven't heard it, I hope it stirs a feeling of what that lost love once meant to you - and if you haven't heard it, you're in for a treat. Get out your canvas, your sketch book, or even a dirty napkin - listen to this music, and put that pencil, brush or pen to it and just let it all out. Just don't cry like a little bitch, at least that's what I tell myself.
"I had hoped you'd see my face,
And that you'd be reminded that for me it isn't over
Never mind, I'll find someone like you,
I wish nothing but the best for you, too
Don't forget me, I beg,
I remember you said,
Sometimes it lasts in love,
But sometimes it hurts instead."

The Old Republic
In a galaxy far far away... STAR WARS! Yeah, we all heard it, seen it, but now we get to live it. If you're a gaming geek like me, and you like Star Wars, the new Bioware MMORPG is finally available for preorder. No, there's no release date yet, they are stating Holiday 2011 - but get your preorder in soon, especially if you want the Collectors Edition.
To celebrate this momentous occasion I am going to show all 3 cinematic's in chronological order (keep in mind, Bioware released them in reverse timeline, so the bottom video looks more aged then the first. Feel free to watch them bottom to top if you want the same experience Bioware gave.) If you haven't seen these video's yet, grab your lube and some extra tissues, it's going to be a fantastic ride.

Written in the Stars...
Do you ever wonder if you have some form of predetermined destiny? Is your fate written in the stars? I've always wondered if my meaningless life had some sort of purpose. Perhaps I see an accident on my way home from work, which allows me to pull an injured person from their vehicle and perform CPR to bring them back to life. Or have I already fulfilled my reason for being here, did I give someone else inspiring words of courage to follow their dreams or convince them to do the right thing when I was 10 years old - and now my destiny is complete.
Who knows? I'm not a fortune teller, but this particular song has been a favorite of mine this month.
And I just found this little gem while surfing for the best version to post. I'd say this girl has no problems following her dreams!

8 Reasons I hate Facebook
It's 2:38am, the day before I have to go back to work, which is always the worst day of the week. I'm trying to pass time because it's hard to go to bed early after staying up late all weekend, so what do I do? I check out my neighborhood Facebook. I never really post anything, I'm not a big fan of it, and the more I look through it - I realized the more I hated it, and here's why...
8. Your "friends" always seem to find the most ridiculous photos of you and tag you in them. This can be particularly hard when you are trying to keep everyone from knowing how retarded or ugly you are.
7. Who the fuck are half these people that friend you? Let's see - I hated you in Highschool... and you... and you... and YOU, I spent 4 years avoiding physical contact with you for a reason.
6. People change, sometimes the new them is scary. You grew up to look like a serial rapist - congratulations. Why are you friending me again?
5. It's not a news article, most people post incredibly dull things and nothing is ever interesting. I don't care if you love your girlfriend or boyfriend. Pick up the phone and tell them that shit instead of splattering that all over your wall.
4. People you don't like seem to be the only friends that contact you. Quit poking me and inviting me to lame events. I don't like you.
3. SPAM. Okay, okay - we get it all ready - you have absolutely nothing better to do than play farmville. I don't care about the stupid cow you found or the fact that you achieved something playing a terribad game with all of your free time. Get a second job - go out there and be somebody!
2. Being friends with your boss or co-workers. Yeah, that was stupid - now when I'm slacking off at work I can't post how terribly bored I am - because then they know I'm not doing anything. Even if your boss is cool, don't tell them you have a facebook account - just don't.
1. And lastly, the reason why you signed up in the first place - facebook stalking that chick/dude you touched yourself to in highschool, and then to find out they are married. How depressing is that - your chance is gone - get over it.
Now if you excuse me, I'm going to go look at Facebook, and maybe check on my farm for another hour, before I have to go to bed.

World of Darkness MMORPG - Part II
Don't get overly excited - I actually don't have any good details about World of Darkness. (OOPS - just lost half the people reading this post.) What I do have is a comment from "Anonymous" on the previous World of Darkness MMORPG post.
For those of you to lazy to click a link (myself included) here is the comment:

The characters in the video is just a demonstration of the technology and are not actually character that are going to be in the game. This is just random clothing/models as a demonstration. This is in no way used as evidence on how World of Darkness is going to play at all. We shouldn't use the video as a sneak peak to the game, it is actually used for EVE in their next expansion adding avatars to the world.
I have two theories Anonymous.
1) You are a dev or community lead - searching for tidbits of WoD so you could add your insight. If this is the case, please email me for an interview :)
2) You are a rabid fan - searching for any mention of WoD MMORPG (and that's not bad, I did it too). However, you stated "We shouldn't use the video as a sneak peak to the game." I have a clear response to your comment; "No shit."
Those are your words - not mine - and here's my evidence:
I clearly define what the video is:
"recently at the GDC (Game Developers Conference) they released a new video of "Nvidia APEX." Which is a clothing and hair non-collision plugin for gaming"
I clearly admit the volume of speculation about the video:
"There is a lot of speculation that these character models are from the 'World of Darkness' MMORPG."
I clearly define why I speculate this video is a reference to WoD:
"both chicks have that tint of goth to them." "backgrounds, one seems to be an apartment (my guess is they will follow the game Bloodlines and give you your own apartment) and the other is a dark street with a shadowed city on the horizon."
And lastly I told people like you what to do with your opinions:
"Just my thoughts, if you have some different thoughts, feel free to make your own blog and post them"
But of course I added the "Just kidding" clause at the end of it.
So - oh yeah - Just kidding!

Waiting For You...
I guess I'm in one of those moods again. Truth is I believe Art is greatly influenced by love. Whether it's a painting, poetry, a song you hashed out on your guitar or even a doodle on the cover of your notebook, somewhere, someone or something inspires you to do those things. Here is a classic song that I hope can inspire your next masterpiece, follow it's melody to somewhere creative in your mind and embrace it.
“The minute I heard my first love story I started looking for you, not knowing how blind that was. Lovers don't finally meet somewhere. They're in each other all along.” -Jalal ad-Din Rumi
