Someone Like You

Let's be honest with our art, our inspiration, and ourselves. Love hurts, it kills, it's beautiful. I've said it before, the best creations have been inspired by love. Sometimes it's that new feeling, butterflies, the way she/he makes you feel, the first glimpse of love can give the sappy artists a perfect muse. Unfortunately, lost love can also prove to stir up the creative juices inside our suffering souls.

We should embrace emotion and reflect it into our arts. After all, (embrace yourself for a corny pun) you can't spell hearts without arts. When you have a creative block, try and think back on those emotions and allow it to take you over - but try not to get depressed - because even losing love can be a joyous learning experience for you. It's better to dwell on the good memories, unless your like me and you like a bit of dark art *smiles*.

When Adele created "Someone Like You" I deeply believe she didn't mean the words, "Never mind, I'll find someone like you" because a person that stirred such creativity within her could never be truly forgotten. This song strikes cords deeply rooted into my heart, its simply amazing. If you haven't heard it, I hope it stirs a feeling of what that lost love once meant to you - and if you haven't heard it, you're in for a treat. Get out your canvas, your sketch book, or even a dirty napkin - listen to this music, and put that pencil, brush or pen to it and just let it all out. Just don't cry like a little bitch, at least that's what I tell myself.

"I had hoped you'd see my face,
And that you'd be reminded that for me it isn't over
Never mind, I'll find someone like you,
I wish nothing but the best for you, too
Don't forget me, I beg,
I remember you said,
Sometimes it lasts in love,
But sometimes it hurts instead."
